History of Motoractive
Motoractive IFN SA was established in 1998, its main activity being car leasing only. Later on, the company has diversified its products in order to better address its customers with valuable solutions on commercial, industrial and retail markets.
After only 5 years of activity, in 2004, Motoractive became the largest independent leasing company in Romania.
In the third quarter of 2006, Motoractive, along with two other financial services companies – Ralfi IFN SA (consumer finance) and Domenia Credit IFN SA – were acquired by GE Money, the financial services division of General Electric.
At the end of 2010, the major shareholder of Motoractive IFN SA became Garanti Turkey, the second largest private bank in Turkey, which holds 100% of shares. Following this change in shareholding, Motoractive was included in Garanti financial group and continues its activity under Garanti Leasing brand.
